How to Style your Wardrobe in the Event of a Zombie Apocalypse

From high street to high end, there is an outfit choice to suit every zombie filled occasion.

In a Zombie Apocalypse you must always choose practicality over style. That’s not to say you can’t look good, but with flesh eating ravenous monsters on the loose, the last thing you should be worrying about, is if your eyebrows have been applied evenly.

Here’s a list of wardrobe essentials you should be carrying with you at all times.

  • Supply of decent hair bobbles and hair pins
  • Flat Shoes/Boots
  • Winter coat
  • Jumper
  • Jeans/Leggings
  • Socks

The Casual Look

This look is perfect for hiking in the woods. Great for keeping you warm throughout the cooler months. For this look, I would certainly recommend the skinntopshopy jean. If you can get your hands on a comfy pair even better. The problem with loose fit jeans, apart from the fact that they constantly have to be pulled up, is that there is a risk that they could get caught on something. Sods law, they will get caught at the worst possible moment, in those few precious seconds that could be the difference between life and death.

Skinny Jeans, as the name suggests stick to your legs a little like leggings do (another great option). This minimises the risk of clothes getting caught, and it also improves your aerodynamics. The trick is to eliminate as much risk as possible. My personal recommendation would be the Topshop Supersoft Leigh jeans. They fit me perfectly and the stretch allows for perfect movability.

I would also recommend a decent pair of hiking boots. Break them in if you can, the last thing you need in a Zombie Apocalypse is a big painful blister rubbing along the lining of your shoes and slowing you down.

The Gym Look

There’s no doubt about it, the gym look is increasing in popularity. In the ZA it is definitely no bad thing. A decent vspair of running shoes will soon become your best friend. Another very important investment is a good quality sports bra, especially for those of us with a bigger chest. The last thing we need, whilst trying to outrun the undead is a poorly fitted bra and sore and unruly boobs hitting us in face as we try and make our escape.

The key element to all these looks is the layering. Your outfit needs to be easily adapted to all weather conditions. The chances are you’ll no longer be able to rely on your weather app to tell you what’s in store for the day, and given the the uncertainties the undead bring, you may be forced to flee at the last second.

So there you have it a few practical yet stylish suggestions, apocalypse eat your heart out.
